2-47Interior LampsBrightness ControlPress the knob located nextto the exterior lamps knobto extend and turn it tomake your instrument panellights brighter. Turn theknob all the way up to turnon the interior lamps. Pressthe knob back into its stored position.Dome Lamp OverrideYou can use the domeoverride button, locatedbelow the exterior lampsknob, to set the dome lampsto come on automaticallywhen a door is opened, or toremain off.To turn the lamps off press the button. The dome lampswill remain off when a door is open. To return the lampsto automatic operation, press the button again. Thedome lamps will come on when you open a door. Thiswill override the illuminated entry feature unless youuse your keyless entry transmitter to unlock the vehicle.Press the dome lamp override button four times tooverride the automatic headlamps and Daytime RunningLamps (DRL).Illuminated EntryYour vehicle is equipped with an illuminated entry feature.When a door is opened, the dome lamps will come on ifthe dome override button is in the "out" position. Whenall the doors are closed, the lamps will stay on for ashort period of time and will then turn off automatically.If you use your keyless entry transmitter to unlock thevehicle, the interior lights will come on for a short timewhether or not the dome override is on.
