European RF Exposure InformationThis mobile phone complies with the EU requirements forexposure to radio waves.Your mobile phone is a radio transceiver, designed andmanufactured not to exceed the SAR* limits** for exposureto radio-frequency (RF) energy, which SAR* values, whentested for compliance against the standard were 0.457W/kg for head configuration and 0.592 W/kg for body wornconfiguration.While there may be differences between the SAR* levels ofvarious phones and at various positions, they all meet*** theEU requirements for RF exposure.*The exposure standard for mobile phones employs a unit ofmeasurement known as the Specific Absorption Rate, orSAR.**The SAR limit for mobile phones used by the public is 2.0watts/kilogram (W/kg) averaged over ten grams of tissue,recommended by The Council of the European Union. Thelimit incorporates a substantial margin of safety to giveadditional protection for the public and to account for anyvariations in measurements.***Tests for SAR have been conducted using standard operatingpositions with the phone transmitting at its highest certifiedpower level in all tested frequency bands. This mobile phonemeets the RF exposure guidelines for body worn operationwhen positioned at least 1.0 cm from the body. Accessoriesused for body worn operation must not contain metal andshould position the mobile phone at least the distance statedabove. Use of other accessories may not ensure compliancewith RF exposure guidelines. Although the SAR is determinedat the highest certified power level, the actual SAR level ofthe phone while operating can be well below the maximumvalue. This is because the phone is designed to operate atmultiple power levels so as to use only the power required toreach the network. In general, the closer you are to a basestation antenna, the lower the power output.251 付録
