Back to Contents Page BatteryDell™ Inspiron™ 1300/B120/B130 Service Manual Replacing the Battery Replacing the Battery CAUTION: Before performing these procedures, disconnect the modem from the telephone wall jack. CAUTION: Using an incompatible battery may increase the risk of fire or explosion. Replace the battery only with a compatible battery purchasedfrom Dell. The battery is designed to work with your Dell™ computer. Do not use a battery from other computers with your computer. To remove the battery:1.2. Ensure that the computer is turned off.3. Turn over the computer.4. Slide the battery-bay latch release lock on the bottom of the computer away from the battery.5.1 If the computer is connected to a docking device (docked), undock it. See the documentation that came with your docking device for instructions. Slide and hold the battery-bay latch release, and then remove the battery from the bay.battery2battery-bay latch release3battery-bay latch release lockTo replace the battery, follow the removal procedure in reverse order.Back to Contents Page
