- 28 -CONCEPTPRACTICEVGAIn M-REC mode, you can adjust the size of photos to suit yourpurposes. The default size of 1,600 × 1,200 pixels is suitable forprinting images at high resolution or for viewing fine details on acomputer. The VGA size of 640 × 480 pixels, available in M-RECmode, can be used to save space on the memory card or to shootphotos destined for display on web pages or smaller computermonitors. The number of VGA photos that can be stored on at8MB memory card at different image quality settings is shownbelow.To switch between an image size of 1,600 × 1,200 pixels and VGA:1 Turn the mode dial to M-REC.2 Press the MENU button to display the M-REC menu.3 Using the zoom buttons (), highlightVGA.4 Press the shutter-release button to dis-play the menu at right. For an image sizeof 1,600 × 1,200 pixels, highlight NO andpress the shutter-release button.
