- 19 -First Steps: Using the AC AdapterUsing the AC AdapterAn AC adapter is available separately for the COOLPIX 900.When connecting the AC adapter, first make sure that thecamera is off. Plug the power cable into the AC adapter. Thenopen the door which covers the DC IN and VIDEO OUTconnectors and insert the power jack into the connector la-beled DC IN.VIDEOOUTDC IN 6.5VDIGTAL CAMERAMRECAOFQUALITYPLAY123Plug the power cable into a power outlet. You are now readyto turn the camera on. Caution: Use only the cable provided with your EH-30.Depending on the country of purchase, the cable provided will berated for power sources of 100-120V or 220-240V. Be sure touse a power source appropriate to the cable provided in yourcountry or region. Using another cable or incorrect voltage couldresult in fire or electric shock.When operating the camera with the AC adapter, take carethat the camera does not accidentally become unplugged. Donot carry the camera from one place to another while it isconnected to the adapter. Caution: The adapter is for indoor use only. Use batterieswhen operating the camera out of doors.When leaving the camera unattended, unplug the power cordfrom the outlet, then unplug the adapter from the camera andremove the power cable from the adapter. Unplug the powercord by pulling by the plug, not by tugging on the cable. Pullingon the cable rather than the plug could damage its protectiveinsulation, leading to fire or electric shock.* The shape of the power cabledepends on the country of purchase
