155その他ofscientiic studies. The exposure standard for wireless mobile phones employs aunit ofmeasurement known as the Speciic Absorption Rate (SAR). The SAR limit set by the FCC is1.6W/kg.* Tests for SAR are conducted using standard operating positions accepted by the FCC with the phone transmitting atits highest certiied power level inall tested frequency bands. Although the SAR isdetermined atthe highest certiied power level, the actual SAR level ofthe phone while operating can be well below the maximum value. This isbecause the phone isdesigned to operate at multiple power levels so as to use only the power required to reach the network. Ingeneral, the closer you are to awireless base station antenna, the lower the output. Before aphone model isavailable for sale to the public, itmust be tested and certiied to the FCC that itdoes not exceed the limit established by the U.S. government-adopted requirement for safe exposure. The tests are performed on position and locations (for example, at the ear and worn on the body) as required by FCC for each model. The highest SAR value for this model phone as reported to the FCC when tested for use at the ear is0.30 W/kg, and when worn on the body, is0.55 W/kg. (Body-worn measurements difer among phone models, depending upon available accessories and FCC requirements). While there may be diferences between the SAR levels ofvarious phones and at various positions, they all meet the U.S. government
