質問者が納得従来はヘッドライトと言えばハロゲンやＨＩＤでしたが、技術の向上によりＬＥＤの光でヘッドライトの役割ができるようになりました。ＬＥＤヘッドランプというのはこのタイプです。
アウディなどに採用されているアイラインとは違います（あちらははスモールランプの方ですね）。
ＨＩＤ並みの光量をもちながら点灯するまでの時間が短く、長寿命・省電力と良いことがたくさんあります。
