Theft deterrent systemBefore drivingGS_G_UMarch 29, 2010 3:11 pmAlarmThe system sounds the alarm and flashes lights when forcible entry is detected.n Triggering of the alarmThe alarm is triggered in the following situations.l A locked door or trunk is unlocked or opened in any way other than using the smart access system with push-button start, wire-less remote control or mechanical key. (The doors will lock again automatically.)l The hood is opened while the vehicle is locked.n Setting the alarm systemClose the doors, trunk and hood, and lock all doors. The system will be set automati-cally after 30 seconds.The indicator light changes from being on to flashing when the system is set.n Deactivating or stopping the alarmDo one of the following to deactivate or stop the alarm.l Unlock the doors or trunk.l Turn the "ENGINE START STOP" switch to the ACCESSORY or IGNITION ON mode. (The alarm will be deactivated or stopped after a few seconds.)
