Route guidance NAVIGATION 129Additional information in the map displayDepending on the map scale, the length, direc-tion, and effects of a depicted by traffic symbols in the map or by bars along the planned route. In dynamic route guid-ance systems, they are au tomatically included in the route guidance.Semi-dynamic route guidanceWith traffic information reception switched on, semi-dynamic route gu idance is active.The system takes into account the existing traffic information during route guidance. A message is displayed as a function of the route, the traffic information, and the possible alternate routes. When there are obstructions to traffic, an alter-nate route is provided.
