Hybrid systemCT200h_OM_OM76066U_(U)Vehicle proximity notification systemWhen driving with the gasoline engine stopped, a sound, which changesin accordance with the driving speed, w ill be played in order to warn peo-ple nearby of the vehicle's approach. The sound will stop when the vehiclespeed exceeds approximately 15 mph (25 km/h).■Regenerative brakingIn the following situations, kinetic energy is converted to electric energy and decel-eration force can be obtained in conjunction with the recharging of the hybrid bat-tery (traction battery).●The accelerator pedal is released while driving with the shift position in D or B.●The brake pedal is depressed while drivin g with the shift position in D or B.■EV indicatorThe EV indicator comes on when driving thevehicle using only the electric motor (tractionmotor).
