301-1. Key information●The card key is not waterproof.■When required to leave a key to th e vehicle with a parking attendantTurn the trunk opener main switch off and lock the glove box as circumstancesdemand. (→P. 53, 324)Remove the mechanical key for your own use and provide the attendant with theelectronic key only. ■Key number plateKeep the plate in a safe place such as your wallet, not in the vehicle. In the event thata mechanical key is lost, a new key can be made at your Lexus dealer using the keynumber plate. (→P. 495)■When riding in an aircraftWhen bringing an electronic key onto an aircraft, make sure you do not press anybuttons on the electronic key while inside the aircraft cabin. If you are carrying anelectronic key in your bag etc, ensure that the buttons are not likely to be pressedaccidentally. Pressing a button may cause the electronic key to emit radio wavesthat could interfere with the operation of the aircraft. ●If the battery cover is not installed andthe battery falls out or if the battery wasremoved because the key got wet, rein-stall the battery with the positive termi-nal facing the Lexus emblem.
