1442-1. Driving proceduresnIf does not come on even after shifting the shift lever to SThis may indicate a malfunction in the automatic transmission system. Have thevehicle inspected by your Lexus dealer immediately. (In this situation, the vehicle will operate as if the shift lever is in D.)nAI-SHIFTThe AI-SHIFT automatically sh ifts the gear to the optimal position according to thedriver performance and driving conditions.The AI-SHIFT automatically operates when the shift lever is in the D position. How-ever, operating the "-" shift paddle switch will restrict the function's operation. (Shift-ing the shift lever to the S position cancels the function.)While in power mode, the engine speed ma y stay high while depressing the accel-erator pedal and may remain high after releasing the accelerator pedal. This doesnot indicate a malfunction.CAUTIONnWhen driving on slippery road surfacesBe careful of downshifting and sudden accele ration, as this could result in the vehi-cle skidding to the side or spinning.
