801-3. Opening, closing and locking the doorsCT200h_OM_OM76066U_(U)CAUTION■Operating the back doorObserve the following precautions.Failure to do so may cause parts of the body to be caught, resulting in death or seri-ous injury.●Remove any heavy loads, such as snow and ice, from the back door before open-ing it. Failure to do so may cause the back door to suddenly shut again after it isopened.●When opening or closing the back door, thoroughly check to make sure the sur-rounding area is safe. ●If anyone is in the vicinity, make sure th ey are safe and let them know that the backdoor is about to open or close.●Use caution when opening or closing the back door in windy weather as it maymove abruptly in strong wind.●The back door may suddenly shut if it is notopened fully. It is more difficult to open orclose the back door on an incline than on alevel surface, so beware of the back doorunexpectedly opening or closing by itself.Make sure that the back door is fully openand secure before using the luggage com-partment. ●When closing the back door, take extracare to prevent your fingers etc. from beingcaught.●When closing the back door, make sure topress it lightly on its outer surface. If theback door handle is used to fully close theback door, it may result in hands or armsbeing caught.
