WIDE VIEW FRONT MONITOR SYSTEM296The wide view front monitor uses a super −wide angle lens to display on screen theareas to the left and right of the vehicle andthe blind spots to the front of the vehicle.This system helps the driver check for ap-proaching cars, bicycles and pedestrianswhen at intersections with poor visibility.CAUTION Always make sure to check allaround the vehicle with your owneyes when driving. Due to the property of the frontcamera lens, the position of anddistance to people or objects dis-played differs from actual positionand distance. Never depend on the front monitoronly. Use caution just as you wouldwhen driving any other vehicle. Never drive while looking only atthe screen as the image on thescreen is different from actual con-ditions. If you drive while lookingonly at the screen, you may hit aperson or an object, resulting in anaccident. When driving, be sure tocheck the vehicle's surroundingswith your own eyes and the ve-hicle's mirrors. When the outside temperature islow, the displayed image may be-come faint or dark. Moving imageswill be distorted or not entirely vis-ible, so be sure to check the ve-hicle's surroundings with yourown eyes and the vehicle's mirrorswhile driving. The displayed image may be darkerand moving images may be slightlydistorted when the system is cold. Do not use the front monitor in thefollowing cases: On icy or slick road surfaces,orin snow When using tire chains or emer-gency tires When the hood or the front pas-senger door is not completelyclosed On roads that are not flat or di-rect, such as slopes or curvesWide view front monitorsystem -
