WIDE VIEW FRONT MONITOR SYSTEM297NOTICE If the front of the vehicle is hit, thecamera's position and mountingangle may change. Contact yourLexus dealer. Rapid temperature changes, suchas when hot water is poured on thevehicle in cold weather, may causethe system to function abnormally. When replacing the tires, pleaseconsult your Lexus dealer. If youreplace the tires, the area dis-played on the screen may change. If the camera lens is dirty, it cannottransmit a clear image. Rinse withwater and wipe with a soft cloth. Ifextremely dirty, wash with a mildcleanser and rinse.INFORMATIONThe area displayed on the screenmay vary according to vehicle sta-tus or road conditions.Due to the property of the frontcamera lens, the perceived dis-tance from images that appear onthe screen differs from the actualdistance.In the following cases, it may be-come difficult to see the images onthe screen, but this is not a mal-function:In the dark (for example, at night)When the temperature near thelens is high or lowWhen there are water dropletson the camera lens, or when hu-midity is high (for example,when it rains)When foreign matter such asmud is stuck to the front cameraWhen the sun or the beam ofheadlights is shining directlyinto the camera lensThe following symptoms may oc-cur, but do not indicate a malfunc-tion:The camera may fog up when hu-midity is high (for example,when it rains).When driving at night, ambientlights such as the lights of thevehicles ahead and buildinglighting may be reflected into theimage.The center or four corners of theimage may decrease in definition.As the procedure is the same, fol-low the instructions for navigationscreen adjustment to adjust thewide view front monitor. (See page36.)
