1322-1. Driving proceduresSelecting shift ranges in the D positionTo drive using temporary shift range se lection, operate the "-" shift paddleswitch. The shift range can then be selected by operating the "-" and "+"shift paddle switches. Changing the sh ift range allows restriction of theupper limit of the gears to be used, preventing unnecessary upshiftingand enabling the level of engine braking force to be selected.Higher shift rangeLower shift rangeThe selected shift range, from 1 to6, will be displayed in the metercluster.To return to normal D positiondriving, the "+" shift paddle switchmust be held down for a period oftime.nSelecting a driving modeThe following patterns can be selec ted to suit current driving andoperating conditions. Power mode For powerful accelerationand driving in mountainousregions.Normal modeSnow mode For accelerating and drivingon slippery road surfaces,such as on snow.Press "SNOW" to return to nor-mal mode.
