Steps to take in an emergencyIf the electronic key does not operate properly■DoorsUse the mechanical key (→P. 98) in order to perform thefollowing operations:Locks all the doorsCloses the windows and moonroof* (turn and hold)Unlocks the doorTurning the key rearward unlocksthe driver's door. Turning the keyonce again within 5 secondsunlocks the other doors.Opens the windows and moonroof* (turn and hold)*: This setting must be customized atyour Lexus dealer.If communication between the ele ctronic key and vehicle is inter-rupted (→P. 108) or the electronic key cannot be used because thebattery is depleted, the smart access system with push-button start andwireless remote control cannot be us ed. In such cases, the doors andtrunk can be opened and the engine can be started by following theprocedure below.Locking and unlocking the doors, unlocking the trunk and keylinked functions1234
