Steps to take in an emergencyStarting the engineShift the shift lever to P and apply the brakes.Touch the Lexus emblem side ofthe electronic key to the"ENGINE START STOP" switch.An alarm will sound to indicate thatthe start function cannot detect theelectronic key that is touched tothe "ENGINE START STOP"switch if any of the doors is openedand closed while the key is touchedto the switch.Press the "ENGINE START STOP" switch within 10 secondsafter the buzzer sounds, keepin g the brake pedal depressed.In the event that the engine still cannot be started, contact your Lexusdealer.STEP 1STEP 2STEP 3
