1472-1. Driving procedures2When drivingChanging shift ranges in S modeTo enter S mode, shift the shift lever to the S position. The shift range canthen be selected by operating the "-" and "+" shift paddle switches or theshift lever. Changing the shift range al lows restriction of the upper limit ofthe gears to be used, preventing unnecessary upshifting and enabling thelevel of engine braking force to be selected.Higher shift rangeLower shift rangeThe selected shift range, from 1 to6, will be displayed in the metercluster.The initial shift range in S mode is auto matically set to 5 or 4 according tovehicle speed.
