06 Infotainment system RSE - Rear Seat Entertainment system*06* Option/accessory, for more information, see Introduction.285USB while a CD or DVD disc is being playedback.IMPORTANTWhen loading luggage and large objects inthe vehicle, ensure that sufficient space isleft for the TV screens in the head restraints,so that the TV screens are not scratched ordamaged. Cover the TV screens with appro-priate covering material during loading.NOTEThe TV screens and remote control do notwork at very low or high temperatures - theyonly "come alive" after the climate controlsystem has created an acceptable operat-ing temperature in the passenger compart-ment.NOTEClean the lens on the IR receiver regularlywith a damp cloth, a dirty lens affectsremote control function.Power consumption, ignition positionsThe system can be activated in ignition positionI or II and while the engine is running. When thecar is being started the film stops temporarilyand continues when the engine has started.NOTEFor prolonged use (more than 10 minutes)with the engine switched off, the capacity ofthe vehicle's battery may fall to such a lowlevel that it is not possible to start theengine.In this case a message will be displayed onthe screen.MenusThe menus for RSE are controlled using theremote control. For general information onmenu navigation and menu structures, seepage 290.Remote controlThe RSE system is equipped with a remotecontrol. Using this it is possible to control thefunctions for each TV screen. The remote con-trol can also be used to control other functionsin the infotainment system, even from the rearseat.For information on the remote control, seepage 282.Wireless headphonesControl for channel A ( CH.A) or channel B(CH.B)On/Off buttonVolumeIndicator lamp On/OffThe RSE system includes two wireless head-phones.The wireless headphones are activated withthe On/Off button (2), an indicator lamp illumi-nates (4). Select CH.A (channel A) or CH.B(channel B) using the control (1). Adjust the vol-ume using the volume control (3).The headphones are automatically switchedoff after about 3 minutes if they are not used.
