3-13Audio SystemsYour audio system has been designed to operate easilyand give years of listening pleasure. You will get themost enjoyment out of it if you acquaint yourself with itfirst. Find out what your audio system can do and howto operate all its controls, to be sure you're getting themost out of the advanced engineering that went into it.Setting the ClockPress and hold the HR or MN buttons, located below thetune knob, for two seconds. Then press and hold HRuntil the correct hour appears. AM or PM will appear onthe display. Press and hold MN until the correct minuteappears. The clock may be set with the ignition on oroff. The clock symbol will appear on the display intime-set mode.To set the clock to the time of an FM station broadcastingRadio Data System (RDS) information, press and holdHR and MN at the same time for two seconds untilUPDATED and the clock symbol appear on the display.If the time is not available from the station, NO UPDATwill appear on the display instead.RDS clock time is broadcast once a minute. Once youhave tuned to an RDS broadcast station, it may take afew minutes before pressing and holding the HR MNbuttons will result in an update to the clock time.AM-FM Stereo with Cassette Tape Playerwith Radio Data System (RDS) andAutomatic Tone ControlPlaying the RadioVOL PWR: Press this control to turn the system on andoff. Turn this control clockwise to increase volume.Turn it counterclockwise to decrease volume.
