3-22TAPE AUX: With a cassette tape in the player and theradio playing, press this button to play a cassette tape.Press AM FM to return to the radio when a cassette tapeis playing. The inactive tape will remain safely insidethe radio for future listening. EJT: Press this button to remove a tape. The radiowill play. Eject may be activated with the radio off.Cassette tapes may be loaded with the radio off if thisbutton is pressed first.Tight/Loose Tape Sensor DefeatWith the radio off and the ignition on, press and hold theTAPE AUX button to disable the tight/loose tapesensing feature to enable play of some tape headcleaners and portable CD adapters. The radio willdisplay READY and flash the cassette icon. Thetight/loose tape sensing feature will then be disableduntil the next time a cassette is ejected.CD Adapter KitsIt is possible to use a portable CD player adapter kitwith your cassette tape player after activating the bypassfeature on your tape player.To activate the bypass feature, use the following steps:1. Turn the radio off.2. Press and hold the TAPE AUX button forfive seconds. READY will appear on the display for five seconds, indicating the feature is active.3. Insert the adapter into the cassette slot. It will powerup the radio and begin playing.This override routine will remain active until EJT is pressed.
