3-45Finding a StationAM FM: Press this button to switch between AM, FM1and FM2. The display shows your selection.TUNE RCL P-TYPE: Turn this control to select radio stations.SEEK SCAN: To seek, press the right or left arrowbriefly to go to the next or previous station and staythere. The sound will mute while seeking.To scan, press and hold either SEEK SCAN arrow fortwo seconds until SC appears on the display and you heara beep. Use scan to listen to stations for a few seconds.The radio will go to a station, stop for a few seconds,then go on to the next station. Press either SEEK SCANarrow again to stop scanning. If you press SEEK SCANfor more than four seconds, the radio will change topreset scan mode. The sound will mute while scanning.To scan your preset pushbuttons, press and hold eitherSEEK SCAN arrow for more than four seconds,PRESET SCAN will appear on the display. You will heara double beep and the P will blink with the presetnumber. Use PRESET SCAN to listen to each of yourpreset stations for a few seconds. The radio will go to apreset station stored on your pushbuttons, stop for a fewseconds, then go on to the next preset station. Press eitherSEEK SCAN arrow again to stop scanning presets.Setting Preset StationsThe six numbered pushbuttons let you return to your favorite stations. You can set up to 18 stations (six AM, six FM1 and six FM2) by performing thefollowing steps:1. Turn the radio on.2. Press AM FM to select the band.3. Tune in the desired station.4. Press AUTO EQ to select the equalization that bestsuits the type of station selected.5. Press and hold one of the six numbered pushbuttonsuntil you hear a beep. Whenever you press thatnumbered pushbutton, the station you set will returnand the equalization that you selected will also beautomatically selected for that pushbutton.6. Repeat the steps for each pushbutton.
