7-17Weatherstrip LubricationSilicone grease on weatherstrips will make them lastlonger, seal better, and not stick or squeak. Applysilicone grease with a clean cloth. During very cold,damp weather more frequent application may berequired. See "Recommended Fluids and Lubricants" inthe Index.Automatic Transmission CheckCheck the transmission fluid level; add if needed. See"Automatic Transmission Fluid" in the Index. A fluidloss may indicate a problem. Check the system andrepair if needed.At Least Once a YearKey Lock Cylinders ServiceLubricate the key lock cylinders with the lubricantspecified in Part D.Body Lubrication ServiceLubricate all hood latch assembly, secondary latch,pivots, spring anchor, release pawl, rear compartmenthinges, outer liftgate handle pivot points, rear doordetent link, roller mechanism, liftgate handle pivotpoints, latch bolt, fuel door hinge, cargo door hinge,locks and folding seat hardware. Part D tells you what touse. More frequent lubrication may be required whenexposed to a corrosive environment.
