2-102. You will find a securitylock lever located on theinside edge of each reardoor. Move the leverdown to engage thesafety lock. Move thelever up to disengage the safety lock.3. Close the door.4. Do the same thing to the other rear door.The rear doors of your vehicle cannot be opened fromthe inside when this feature is in use. If you want toopen the rear door when the security lock is on, unlockthe door and open the door from the outside.Lockout PreventionThis feature stops the power door locks from lockingwhen the key is in the ignition and a door is open toprotect you from locking your key in the vehicle.If the power lock switch is pressed when a door is openand the key is in the ignition, all the doors will lock andthen the driver's door will unlock.Leaving Your VehicleIf you are leaving the vehicle, take your key, open yourdoor and set the locks from inside. Then get out andclose the door.Remote Keyless Entry System (If Equipped)If your vehicle has this feature, you can lock and unlockyour doors from about 3 feet (1 m) up to 30 feet (9 m)away using the remote keyless entry transmitter suppliedwith your vehicle.Your remote keyless entry system operates on a radiofrequency subject to Federal CommunicationsCommission (FCC) Rules and with Industry Canada.This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules.Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) this device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interferencereceived, including interference that may causeundesired operation.
