3-47If your vehicle has the Bose radio, your audio systemallows you to choose from four different equalizationsettings: talk, driver, normal and spatial. These settingscan be used while listening to the radio or the CD player.Press the AUTO EQ button to scroll through yourchoices. Select TALK when listening to non-musicalmaterial such as news, talk shows, sports broadcasts andbooks on tape. This settings makes spoken words soundvery clear. Select DRIVER to give the driver the bestpossible sound qualities. Select NORMAL to enhancethe stereo effect. Select SPATIAL to make the listeningspace seem larger. When AUTO EQ NORMAL isdisplayed, the system will provide the best overall Boseperformance. The radio saves separate AUTO EQsettings for each preset and source.Adjusting the SpeakersAUDIO (Balance/Fade): The AUDIO control adjusts balance and fade. To adjust balance, press theAUDIO control until BAL appears on the display. Turn the control to adjust the sound to the left or rightspeakers. The middle position balances the soundbetween the speakers.To adjust fade, press and hold the AUDIO control untilFAD appears on the display. Turn the control to adjustthe sound to the front or rear speakers. The middleposition balances the sound between the speakers.To set the balance and fade to the middle position, selectbalance or fade and press and hold the AUDIO control.The radio will beep once and will set the display level tothe middle position.To set all tone and speaker controls to the middleposition, press and hold the AUDIO control when tone or speaker controls are not active. The radio will produce one beep and CENTERED will appear on the display.
