Steps to take in an emergencyCT200h_OM_OM76066U_(U)Emergency start functionWhen the hybrid system does not start, the following steps can be used asan interim measure to start the hybr id system if the "POWER" switch isfunctioning normally:Set the parking brake.Turn the "POWER" switch to ACCESSORY mode.Press and hold the "POWER" swit ch for about 15 seconds whiledepressing the brake pedal firmly.Even if the hybrid system can be started using the above steps, the systemmay be malfunctioning. Have the vehi cle inspected by your Lexus dealer.■The interior lights and headlights do not turn on, or the horn doesnot sound.One of the following may be the cause of the problem:●One or both of the 12-volt battery terminals may be discon-nected.●The 12-volt battery may be discharged.
