Steps to take in an emergencyCT200h_OM_OM76066U_(U)■Starting the hybrid system when the 12-volt battery is dischargedThe hybrid system cannot be started by push-starting.■To prevent 12-volt battery discharge●Turn off the headlights and the audio sy stem while the hybrid system is off.●Turn off any unnecessary electrical compon ents when the vehicle is running at alow speed for an extended period, such as in heavy traffic.Start the engine of the second vehicle. Increase the enginespeed slightly and maintain at that level for approximately 5minutes to recharge the battery of your vehicle.Open and close any of the doors of your vehicle with the"POWER" switch off.Maintain the engine speed of the second vehicle and start thehybrid system of your vehicle by turning the "POWER" switchto ON mode.Make sure the "READY" indicator light comes on. If the indica-tor light does not come on, contact your Lexus dealer.Once the hybrid system has started, remove the jumper cablesin the exact reverse order from which they were connected.To install the engine cover, conduct the removal procedure inreverse. After installing, check that the fixed pins are insertedsecurely.Once the hybrid system starts, have the vehicle inspected at yourLexus dealer as soon as possible.STEP 4STEP 5STEP 6STEP 7STEP 8STEP 9
