Engine compartmentAt the end of every winter, wash the engine compartment thoroughly,taking care not to aim the jet of water directly at the electronic controlunits or at the windscreen wiper motors. Have this operationperformed at a specialised workshop.IMPORTANT The washing should take place with the engine cold andthe ignition key in the STOP position. After washing, make sure that thevarious protective devices (e.g. rubber caps and guards) have notbeen removed or damaged.INTERIORS Periodically check for water puddles under the mats that could causethe panels to rust.Never use flammable products, such as petrol ether orrectified petrol to clean the inside of the car. Theelectrostatic charges which are generated by rubbingduring the cleaning operation may cause a fire.Do not keep aerosol cans in the car: they mightexplode. Aerosol cans must not be exposed to atemperature exceeding 50°C. When the car is exposedto sunlight, the internal temperature can greatly exceed thisvalue.SEATS AND FABRIC PARTS Remove dust with a soft brush or a vacuum cleaner. It is advisable touse a moist brush on velvet upholstery.
