TRACTION CONTROL OFFIf your vehicle has StabiliTrak, this message displayswhen the Traction Control System (TCS) is turnedoff. Adjust your driving accordingly. See StabiliTrak(R)System on page 4-6for more information.TRAILER CONNECTEDOn vehicles with the Integrated Trailer Brake Control(ITBC) system, this message displays briefly whena trailer with electric brakes is first connected tothe vehicle.This message clears itself after several seconds. Thismessage also clears if you acknowledge it. Afterthis message clears, the TRAILER GAIN/OUTPUTdisplay appears in the DIC.See TRAILER GAIN/OUTPUT under DIC Operationand Displays (With DIC Buttons) on page 3-52 orDIC Operation and Displays (Without DIC Buttons) onpage 3-58and Integrated Trailer Brake Control SystemunderTowing a Trailer on page 4-50 for moreinformation.TRANSMISSION HOT IDLE ENGINENotice:If you drive your vehicle while thetransmission fluid is overheating and thetransmission temperature warning is displayed onthe instrument panel cluster and/or DIC, youcan damage the transmission. This could lead tocostly repairs that would not be covered byyour warranty. Do not drive your vehicle withoverheated transmission fluid or while thetransmission temperature warning is displayed.This message displays along with a sound if thetransmission fluid in the vehicle gets hot. Driving withthe transmission fluid temperature high can causedamage to the vehicle. Stop the vehicle and let it idle toallow the transmission to cool. This message clearsand the chime stops when the fluid temperature reachesa safe level.TURN SIGNAL ONThis message displays and a chime sounds if a turnsignal is left on for 3/4 of a mile (1.2 km). Move the turnsignal/multifunction lever to the off position.3-73
