Setting the Tone(Bass/Midrange/Treble)BASS/MID/TREB (Bass, Midrange, or Treble):To adjust bass, midrange, or treble, press thef knobuntil the tone control labels display. Continue pressing tohighlight the desired label, or press the pushbuttonpositioned under the desired label. Turn thef knobclockwise or counterclockwise to adjust thehighlighted setting. Adjust the highlighted settingby pressing either SEEK arrow,\ FWD (forward),ors REV (reverse) button until the desired levels areobtained. If a stations frequency is weak or if there isstatic, decrease the treble.To quickly adjust bass, midrange, or treble to the middleposition, press the pushbutton positioned under theBASS, MID, or TREB label for more than two seconds. Abeep sounds and the level adjusts to the middle position.To quickly adjust all tone and speaker controls to themiddle position, press thef knob for more thantwo seconds.EQ (Equalization):Press this button to choose bassand treble equalization settings designed for differenttypes of music. The choices are pop, rock, country, talk,jazz, and classical. Selecting MANUAL or changing bassor treble, returns the EQ to the manual bass and treblesettings.Unique EQ settings can be saved for each source.If the radio has a Bosefiaudio system, the EQ settingsare either MANUAL or TALK.Digital Signal Processing (DSP): Press the EQ buttonto change the DSP settings (only available on Bosefisystems with the LTZ option package). DSP settingsprovide a choice of different listening experiences.The following DSP settings are available: Normal Select this setting to adjust the audio fornormal mode. This provides the best sound qualityfor all seating positions. Driver Select this setting to adjust the audio forthe driver to receive the best possible soundquality. Rear Select this setting to adjust the audio forthe rear seat passengers to receive the bestpossible sound quality. Surround (Centerpointfi) Select this setting toenable Bose Centerpointfi. Centerpointfisignalprocessing produces a surround sound listeningexperience from a CD or XM stereo digital audiosource. Centerpointfidelivers five independent audiochannels from conventional two channel stereorecordings. (Not available for AM or FM.)3-90
