Dinghy TowingTwo-Wheel-Drive VehiclesNotice:If the vehicle is towed with all four wheelson the ground, the drivetrain components couldbe damaged. The repairs would not be covered bythe vehicle warranty. Do not tow the vehicle withall four wheels on the ground.Two-wheel-drive vehicles should not be towedwith all four wheels on the ground. Two-wheel-drivetransmissions have no provisions for internal lubricationwhile being towed.Four-Wheel-Drive VehiclesUse the following procedure to dinghy tow afour-wheel-drive vehicle:1. Position the vehicle being towed behind the towvehicle and shift the transmission to P (Park).2. Turn the engine off and firmly set the parking brake.4-44
