Tire and Loading Information LabelA vehicle specific Tire and Loading Informationlabel is attached to the center pillar (B-pillar).With the drivers door open, you will find thelabel attached below the door lock post (striker).The tire and loading information label showsthe number of occupant seating positions (A),and the maximum vehicle capacity weight (B)in kilograms and pounds.The Tire and Loading Information label also showsthe size of the original equipment tires (C) and therecommended cold tire inflation pressures (D).For more information on tires and inflation seeTires on page 5-61andInflation - Tire Pressureon page 5-70.There is also important loading information on thevehicle Certification/Tire label. It tells you the GrossVehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) and the Gross AxleWeight Rating (GAWR) for the front and rear axles.See Certification/Tire Label later in this section.Steps for Determining Correct Load Limit1. Locate the statement The combined weightof occupants and cargo should never exceedXXX kg or XXX lbs on your vehicles placard.2. Determine the combined weight of the driverand passengers that will be riding in yourvehicle.3. Subtract the combined weight of the driverand passengers from XXX kg or XXX lbs.Label Example4-34
