Refer to your vehicles tire and loadinginformation label for specific information aboutyour vehicles capacity weight and seatingpositions. The combined weight of the driver,passengers, and cargo should never exceedyour vehicles capacity weight.Certification/Tire LabelA vehicle specific Certification/Tire label is foundon the rear edge of the drivers door. The labelshows the size of your vehicles original tires andthe inflation pressures needed to obtain the grossweight capacity of your vehicle. This is called GrossVehicle Weight Rating (GVWR). The GVWRincludes the weight of the vehicle, all occupants,fuel, and cargo.The Certification/Tire label also tells you themaximum weights for the front and rear axles,called Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR). To findout the actual loads on your front and rear axles,you need to go to a weigh station and weigh yourvehicle. Your dealer can help you with this. Be sureto spread out your load equally on both sides of thecenterline.Never exceed the GVWR for your vehicle, or theGAWR for either the front or rear axle.4-37
