03 Climate controlFuel-driven auxiliary heater* (diesel) 03104* Option/accessory, for more information, see Introduction.Auxiliary heater (diesel)In diesel-engined cars the auxiliary heater maybe required for achieving the correct tempera-ture in the engine and passenger compartmentduring cold weather.The heater starts automatically when extraheat is required when the engine is running.The heater is switched off automatically whenthe correct temperature is reached or when theengine is switched off.NOTEThe auxiliary heater cannot be switched onor off manually but is only controlled by thecar's electronics.When the auxiliary heater is active there maybe smoke from underneath the car, which isperfectly normal.
