Eight different directions are shownwith English abbreviations: N (north), NE (northeast), E (east), SE (south east), S (south), SW(south west), W (west) and NW (north west).Calibrating the compassG031045The earth is divided into 15 magnetic zones.The compass is set for the geographical areato which the car was delivered. The compassshould be calibrated if the car is moved acrossseveral magnetic zones.1. Stop the car in a wide open area with theengine running at idling speed.2. Press and hold button (1) for at least 6 sec-onds. Following which, the character C isshown (the button is concealed so use apaper clip for example to press it in).3. Press and hold button (1) for at least 3 sec-onds. The number for the current magneticzone is displayed.
