01 Safety Airbag system0119Warning symbol on the combinedinstrument panelThe warning symbol in the combined instru-ment panel illuminates when the remote con-trol key is turned to key position I, II or III. Thesymbol goes out after approx. 6 seconds pro-vided the airbag system is fault-free.As well as the warning symbol, amessage may appear on the dis-play in appropriate cases. If thewarning symbol malfunctions, thewarning triangle illuminates andthe message SRS AIRBAGSERVICE REQUIRED or SRSAIRBAG SERVICE URGENTappears in the display. Volvo rec-ommends that you contact an authorisedVolvo workshop immediately.WARNINGIf the warning symbol for the airbag systemremains illuminated or illuminates while driv-ing, it means that the airbag system doesnot have full functionality. The symbol indi-cates a fault in the seatbelt tensioner sys-tem, SIPS, SRS or the IC system. Volvo rec-ommends that you contact an authorisedVolvo workshop immediately.
