04 Interior Cargo area04* Option/accessory, for more information, see Introduction.121RemovingRemove the safety grille as follows:1. Fold the rear seat backrest forward slightly(to relieve the load from the gas struts).2. Remove the caps from the nuts on eitherside that secure the safety grille.3. Unscrew the nuts until the threads are flushwith the edge of the nuts.4. Turn the grille backward in the car slightlyto release it from the trim. Do not angle thegrille too much as it can become wedged,making it difficult to pull out.5. Repeat for the other mounting and thencarefully lift the grille out of the car.AttachingTo fit the safety grille:1. Follow the instructions in the reverse order.2. Tighten the two nuts to 24 Nm.In the event of uncertainty about attaching orremoving the safety grille, consult a workshop- an authorised Volvo workshop is recom-mended.Cargo cover*G020766Cargo cover.Fitting the cargo cover.Fit the cargo cover as follows:1. Move the front section of the cargo coverbackwards/over the cassette.2. Following which, fit the cargo cover in itstracks along the side panels, furthest intothe cargo area.3. Push the button forward so that thecatches are retracted. Following which,press the cargo cover down in the track.4. The button springs back when the cargocover is correctly located.5. Repeat the procedure on the oppositeside.G0207676. Check that the cargo cover is fitted firmlyin the cargo area.7. Fit the front section of the cargo cover inthe wedge shaped tracks on the side pan-els, against the rear seat.8. The cargo cover is now ready for use.WARNINGDo not place objects on the cargo cover oron its front section.
