Provide edge protectionSharp or angular objects can hit the rearwindow while driving and damage the heatingwires of the rear window. Provide edge protec‐tion.◀Opening from the outside▷Press the button next to the tailgate.▷ Press the button on the remotecontrol for approx. 1 second.Opening from the insidePush the button in the driver's footwell.The tailgate is opened if the vehicle is stationary,provided that the tailgate has not been locked.ClosingRecessed grips on the inside trim of the tailgatecan be used to conveniently pull down the tail‐gate.Danger of pinchingMake sure that the closing path of the tail‐gate is clear; otherwise, injuries may result.◀Do not place the remote control in thecargo areaTake the remote control with you and do notleave it in the cargo area; otherwise, the remotecontrol is locked inside the vehicle when the tail‐gate is closed.◀Locking the vehiclePress the button on the inside of the tailgate.The vehicle is locked completely.Automatic tailgate operationAdjusting the opening heightYou can set how far the tailgate should open.Adjusting the opening heightWhen adjusting the opening height, en‐sure that there is a clearance of at least 4 in/10 cm above the tailgate.
