GB11INSTALLATION AND SETUP SHOULDBE CARRIED OUT BY AN AUTHORISEDTECHNICIAN IN LINE WITH CURRENTINSTALLATION STANDARDS.Positioning the hobTo install these models, an opening withthe dimensions shown in figure 2 will becut into the unit's worktop.The minimum distance between the surfa -ce supporting the cooking pans and thelower part of the kitchen unit or the hoodlocated above the hob should be 650 mm.If the hood's installation instructionsrecommend that the gap is greater thanthis, you should follow this advice.The unit where the hob and oven will belocated will be suitably fixed.INSTALLATION WITH CUTLERY DRA -WER OR LOWER CABINETIn mixed induction - vitroceramic hobs, ifyou would like to have a cabinet or acutlery drawer under the hob, it is neces -sary to put a separation board in betweenthe two. The board should be situated 20mm below the underside of the hob, lea -ving a free space of at least 20 mm untilthe end of the cabinet (figure 1). This prevents accidental contact with thehot surface of the casing of the heatingelements under the apparatus (figure 1).In induction hobs, there should be a mini -mum distance of 5 cm between the drawerand the opening to the fan (a separatingboard is not necessary).
