04 InteriorCargo area 04120* Option/accessory, for more information, see Introduction.Safety net*G020768The retractable safety net storage cassette ismounted on the rear of the backrest.Using the safety net with raisedbackrests.1. Pull out the safety net horizontally back-ward. Extend the right hand attachmentand hold it extended. Insert the attachmentinto the rear keyed notch in the roof panel.Then press the attachment forward to thefront notch. The attachment must bepressed so far that the flange rides over therestriction between the front and rearnotches.2. Do the same on the other side. The attach-ments on the net spring shut. Pull the netover towards the left bracket to fit it inplace.3. Check that the attachments on the safetynet are securely fastened in the keyedrecesses in the roof panel.Using the safety net with loweredbackrestsThe safety net can also be used when the back-rests are lowered. In this case, use the frontattachment points in the roof panel.Removing the safety net1. Pull one of the net's attachments rearwardto the large notch and pull it out.2. Detach the other attachment in the sameway.Removing the safety net storagecassette.1. Lower the entire backrest.2. Press the cassette outward to release itfrom the mounting brackets.WARNINGLoads in the cargo area must be firmlysecured even if the safety net is correctlyfitted.Safety grille*G014730The safety grille is designed to help preventloads or pets from being thrown forward in thepassenger compartment in the event of sud-den braking. For safety reasons, the grille mustalways be correctly fastened and secured.Folding upIf the safety grille is in the way it can be foldedup to the roof:1. Take hold of the bottom of the safety grille.2. Pull straight backward and upward. Thenrelease. The gas struts prevent the grillefrom dropping down.To fold down the grille, do the reverse.
