LoadThe maximum load is the sum of the weight ofthe occupants and the cargo.The greater the weight of the occupants, theless cargo that can be transported.Stowing cargoTrunk▷Heavy cargo: stow as far forward and as lowas possible, ideally directly behind the trunkseparating wall.▷Cover sharp edges and corners.Loading with the hardtop openBefore opening the hardtop, fold down thecargo area partition and make sure the trunk isloaded correctly; otherwise, parts of the hardtopcould be damaged.◀Fold down the cargo area partition, refer topage 39 .Lateral storage shelfLoading the lateral storage shelfWhen loading the lateral storage shelf, donot move both seats all the way forward whilemoving them to their uppermost position andleaning the backrests forward. Otherwise, theseats could hit and damage the seal on the wind‐shield and the sun visor.◀Light and small objects can be stored on the lat‐eral storage shelf.Securing cargoTrunkUse retaining straps, a luggage net* or drawstraps* to secure small and lightweight items.Lateral storage shelfYou can obtain cargo straps* from your servicecenter.
