Front Park Assist Audible AlertsParkSensefi will turn off the Front Park Assist audiblealert (chime) after approximately 3 seconds when anobstacle has been detected, the vehicle is stationary, andbrake pedal is applied.Enabling And Disabling ParkSensefiParkSensefi can be enabled and disabled using theUconnectfi System. The available choices are: Off, SoundOnly, or Sound and Display. Refer to Uconnectfi Set-tings in Understanding Your Instrument Panel forfurther information.When the ParkSensefi soft-key is pressed to disable thesystem, the EVIC will display the PARK ASSIST SYS-TEM OFF message for approximately five seconds.Refer to Electronic Vehicle Information Center (EVIC)in Understanding Your Instrument Panel for furtherinformation. When the shift lever is moved to REVERSEposition and ParkSensefi is turned off, the instrumentcluster will display PARK ASSIST OFF message for aslong as the vehicle is in REVERSE.Service The ParkSensefi Park Assist SystemWhen the ParkSensefi ParkAssist system is malfunction-ing, the Electronic Vehicle Information Center (EVIC) willactuate a single chime, once per ignition cycle, and it willdisplay the CLEAN PARK ASSIST, SERVICE PARKASSIST or the SERVICE PARK ASSIST SYSTEM mes-sage. Refer to Electronic Vehicle Information Center(EVIC) in Understanding Your Instrument Panel forfurther information. When the shift lever is moved toREVERSE and the system has detected a fault condition,the EVIC will display the PARK ASSIST SYSTEM OFFmessage for as long as the vehicle is in REVERSE.
