A WORD ABOUT YOUR KEYSYour vehicle uses a keyless ignition system. This systemconsists of a Key Fob with Remote Keyless Entry (RKE)transmitter and a Keyless Ignition Node (KIN).Keyless Enter-N-GoTM FeatureThis vehicle is equipped with the Keyless Enter-N-Gofeature, (refer toKeyless Enter-N-Go inThings ToKnow Before Starting Your Vehicle for further informa-tion).Keyless Ignition Node (KIN)This feature allows the driver to operate the ignitionswitch with the push of a button, as long as the RemoteKeyless Entry (RKE) transmitter is in the passengercompartment.The Keyless Ignition Node (KIN) has four operatingpositions, three of which are labeled and will illuminatewhen in position. The three positions are OFF, ACC, andON/RUN. The fourth position is START, during startRUN will illuminate.NOTE:In case the ignition switch does not change withthe push of a button, the RKE transmitter (Key Fob) mayhave a low or dead battery. In this situation a back upmethod can be used to operate the ignition switch. Putthe nose side (side opposite of the emergency key) of theKey Fob against the ENGINE START/STOP button andpush to operate the ignition switch.12 THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE STARTING YOUR VEHICLE
