WARNING!•Be certain that the seatback is securely locked intoposition. If the seatback is not securely locked intoposition, the seat will not provide the proper sta-bility for child seats and/or passengers. An improp-erly latched seat could cause serious injury.•The cargo area in the rear of the vehicle (with therear seatbacks in the locked-up or folded downposition) should not be used as a play area bychildren when the vehicle is in motion. They couldbe seriously injured in a collision. Children shouldbe seated and using the proper restraint system.•To help protect against personal injury, passengersshould not be seated in the rear cargo area. The rearcargo space is intended for load carrying purposesonly, not for passengers, who should sit in seatsand use seat belts.WARNING!The weight and position of cargo and passengers canchange the vehicle center of gravity and vehiclehandling. To avoid loss of control resulting in per-sonal injury, follow these guidelines for loading yourvehicle:•Always place cargo evenly on the cargo floor. Putheavier objects as low and as far forward as pos-sible.•Place as much cargo as possible in front of the rearaxle. Too much weight or improperly placed weightover or behind the rear axle can cause the rear ofthe vehicle to sway.•Do not pile luggage or cargo higher than the top ofthe seatback.
