As temperatures rise and the gauge ap-proachesH, or 260F, this telltale will illuminate and asingle chime will sound after reaching a set threshold.Further overheating will cause the temperature gauge topassH, or 260F, a continuous chime will occur until theengine is allowed to cool.If the telltale turns on while driving, safely pull over andstop the vehicle. If theA/C system is on, turn it off.Also,shift the transmission into NEUTRAL and idle the ve-hicle. If the temperature reading does not return tonormal, turn the engine off immediately and call forservice. Refer to If Your Engine Overheats in What ToDo In Emergencies for more information.•Transmission Temperature Warning TelltaleThis telltale indicates that the transmissionfluid temperature is running hot. This mayoccur with severe usage, such as trailer towing.If this telltale turns on, safely pull over andstop the vehicle.
