NOTE:The transmission must be in PARK before thebutton will operate.The trunk lid can be released fromoutside the vehicle by pressing theTRUNK button on the RemoteKeyless Entry (RKE) transmittertwice within five seconds or byusing the external release switchlocated on the underside of thedecklid overhang. The release fea-ture will function only when thevehicle is in the unlock condition.With the ignition in the ON/RUN position, the TrunkOpen symbol will display in the instrument clusterindicating that the trunk is open. The odometer displaywill reappear once the trunk is closed.With the ignition in the OFF position, the Trunk Opensymbol will display until the trunk is closed.Refer to Keyless Enter-N-Go in Things To KnowBefore Starting Your Vehicle for more information ontrunk operation with the Passive Entry feature.TRUNK SAFETY WARNINGWARNING!Do not allow children to have access to the trunk,either by climbing into the trunk from outside, orthrough the inside of the vehicle. Always close thetrunk lid when your vehicle is unattended. Once inthe trunk, young children may not be able to escape,even if they entered through the rear seat.
