Driving procedures2When drivingCT200h_U (OM76040U)Power (ignition) switchPerforming the following operations when carrying the electronic key onyour person starts the hybrid system or changes "POWER" switch modes.■Starting the hybrid systemCheck that the parking brake is set. Firmly depress the brake pedal. Check that the "POWER" switch indi cator turns green. If the indica-tor does not turn green, the hy brid system cannot be started.When the shift position is N, the hybrid system cannot start. Shift theshift position to P when starting the hybrid system. ( →P. 184)Press the "POWER" switch.Continue depressing the brakepedal until the hybrid system iscompletely started.The hybrid system can bestarted from any "POWER"switch mode.Check that the "READY" indicator is on.If the "READY" indicator changes from a flashing light to a solid lightand the buzzer sounds, the hybrid system is starting normally.The vehicle will not move when the "READY" indicator is off.The vehicle can move when the "READY" indicator is on even if theengine is stopped. (The gasoline en gine starts or stops automaticallyin accordance with the state of the vehicle.)STEP 1STEP 2STEP 3STEP 4
